No, if it is the last connection you need to contact Arriva and advise them your train arrived too late to make this connection, the 22:45 to take you to Euston
They will then give you a choice of hotel or taxi

I'd go find him if I were you! ATW should be paying for your taxi to EUS / hotel in Wolves. ;)

Just looked on (A railstaff website), and you will currently be 1 min late for your conection.

However both trains are due on the same platform, so it depends on what the siggie does, he may put your train in first or he may do it by the book and let VT in and leave you to wait.

if you dont want to be stuck in a hotel or taxi, i suppose you could carry on on the train your on to birmingham new street, as at the present time the train your on is due into new street at 23:03 and the VT is due in at 23:04 however it isnt due to depart untill 23:10.

All the best.

Definitely stay on till New Street.
You are expected at 2304 Plat 4
Euston leaves at 2310 Plat 3
Cross platform connection. Should be no problem

Expected time at Wolves ATM is 2247. They can hold the stopper for 3 mins I think

I would carry on to New St and assume you'll make it. If not there'll be someone there who can help you.

To be honest, whats the chance of your train overtaking the Pendo between Wolves and Birmingham NS? Not very much. Also, the National Rail website has the Pendo down as leaving Birmingham at 2304. Not 2310. Your not going to make it by the seems of it.

Also, whats the rules with rovers? Obviously if you have a ticket all the way through, then they have to get you a taxi, but what if you have a rover ticket? You havent actually got a contract with them to take you through to London.

You may want to check that again on both our rail staff site and national rail show a 23:10 departure.

All the best.

Simon

Sorry, your right. It depends what departure board you look at. If you look at the Wolves one, like i was, and bring up details on the Euston train, then it gives Birmingham dep as 2304. However bring up Birmingham dep boards, and you get the correct time.

I can confirm that :) - yep - seems that that is your best plan sonic stay on to New St cross platform interchange to the 2310 UP EUS.

I would agree, whilst on the train and with plenty of notice seek out the guard
If the connection has left, then staff at Wolverhampton should assist you including how to contact Arriva out of hours if necessary, but this late at night they should do this for you
If you are advised to phone Arriva, simply advise you don't have the means for doing so (keep any mobile phone on silent and hidden)

I was wondering that myself, having just had a quick look at today's LDB data for services between SHR and AYW. I think it all started when the 13:27 SHR to AYW was held for 24 mins, with the 15:27 also 25 mins late, but it got even worse when the 17:27/19:27 were held for around 45-50 mins!

I do hope you make it Sonic2009! Your original ALR thread made for some very fascinating reading!

I believe they have to treat you as if you hold a ticket to a particular destination, though how (if) they know you're taking the **** is anyone's guess. Certainly when I was travelling Hexham-Liverpool on a NW Rover the guard said they'd have to sort me out at Carlisle if necessary - though in the end I ran like mad across the station and miraculously guessed which was the guard's door and just made it in time so never did get to test it out.
