I am pleased with how smoothly the Digital switchover has gone and under budget.
The fact the analogue signals were taking up too much bandwidth and with it being shut off, we are able to have more freeview channels.

But, I spent a lot of money on a Freeview built in HD ready TV, now its useless in 1 way, because I can't view HD Freeview channels on it from the built in freeview.

Now moving onto radio, how can we switch off analogue radio when there is a lot of stations still waiting to get onto the DAB multiplex.
we have been waiting since 2008 for our New multiplexes in Wales and Herefordshire for example, now there is talk of some of the multiplexes merging.
Would analogue radio switchover allow for DAb signal to boost, like the TV switchover has done?

Tell us what you thing about digital uk

The fact they are taking Sky Sports News off Freeview (with all the lovely female presenters :D) make me owning any form of TV now totally pointless

Well the switch off analogue TV isn't over yet (my area still has it) so I'm going to withhold judgement of that.

As for radio it seems foolish to replace FM with DAB seeing as the audio quality isn't as good!

But for me the main issue with Digital UK is the provision of fast broadband we need more penetration of 10mb broadband as I believe the UK wide average speed available is still 2mb or less.

With regards to the Freeview HD issue, yes it is a bit of a bummer, & they could have thought about it better, instead of turning round & saying you have to get a new reciever or FreeviewHD tv in order to watch the HD channels. But then I don't have that problem as such as we have Virgin Media, we only watch Freeview as a backup when Vrgin plays up.

You will never get 7.2mbps as like with car fuel consumption figures (done on a rolling road with no wind, gradients etc), that is the highest speed you will get under perfect conditions next to a phone mast ...

Its also being removed from the basic sky package on Satellite, you now have to buy the full sports pack to get it
