Which TOC has the most paint jobs in service? Greater Anglia have FGE, Anglia, One (blue), NXEA, NXEA without vinyls and the GA white and red! Are there any other TOCs with such a varied colour fleet?

Northern is (fairly) uniform now, with only the 321/322/333s in a non-standard scheme afaik...

But up until a few years ago there were 142s in Northern, NS, Arriva, NWT gold star, T&W, GMPTE and Merseytravel. 144s in Northern and the later WYPTE. 150s in Northern, CT/NWM, RR and Gold star. 153s in Northern, Arriva, Gold star and RR. 155s in the revised Metro. 156s in NS, Revised RR (Green stripe), and Northern. 158s in Northern, NS-TPE, 2 different variants of WYPTE, gold star and possibly a few others inherited from other TOCs. For a while Manchester's 323 sets were split between Northern, Gold Star, and GMPTE colours too.

Not sure if all the variations existed concurrently, but up until the last 2-3 years, catching a local train in the North could bring just about anything!

Has the old WAGN white/red livery finally gone now? I think it survived to 2012.

hmmm havent seen any, most 317's are white or with NXEA vinyls. Saw one in blue "one" paint the other day which is not usual

Yeah, there are several of the liveries listed by 61563 HTAFC that never co-existed across the Northern network at the same time. Another example is that Arriva Trains Northern repainted all of the Tyne & Wear PTE yellow liveried 142s into it's corporate colour scheme during it's tenure as franchisee. They're not wrong though that Northern England's local rail network was a very coulourful place a few years ago.

SouthEastern have quite a few variations of the same livery;

Old Connex Grey lower body, yellow doors
White body, yellow doors
White body, lilac doors
Lilac doors, dark blue lower body, blue undercarriage
Lilac doors, dark blue lower body, white undercarriage

and then theres the High Speed Livery..
