Just after passing Bethnal Green at 07.30 this morning heading for Liverpool St a Norwich rake of MIII's passed heading north diesel hauled, caught me unawres and didnt get a chance to see what was on the front but sounded like a 67 and was travelling at a fair speed considering it was climbing the bank and had a dead 90 on the back (possibly the First Scot rail 90). Anyone have any further information.

I was on a 321 last week and a similar thing happened, however I only heard the train and didn't see it since the train I was on was packed.

May well have been the 47 that hangs around on the more northerly end of the East Anglia Mainline doing rescue duties. I forget it's number (although I'm sure its a 47/8 )...

Wouldn't have been 47818 as DRS have the thunderbird contract now. Likely to have been either 47501, 802 or 832

Certainly didnt sound like a 47 , and was moving at a fair speed climbing Bethnal Green bank with a full rake and dead 90 on the back. from the short glimpse that I got it appeared to EWS livery, but pass so quick couldnt confirm this.

There was a failed set yesterday morning. What you saw was 47802 which was dragging 90019 (the Scot Rail) + the failed set from Liverpool Street - Crown Point
