Hi,

The wife and daughter (12yo) are planning a visit to see a friend in Forres, Scotland. The draft itinerary is to travel on Sunday August 11th and back on Thursday August 15th. They have no preference about going via London or via Birmingham (or indeed via Glasgow or Edinburgh). They would even consider a sleeper either outbound on the Sunday or returning on the Wednesday night (but not both ways they want to look at the glorious Scottish scenery at some point).

They have a Familay and Friends railcard.

I know from past queries spit-ticketing and connections at places like Lancaster have been used to get the very cheapest fare, but in this case I just want a reasonably cheap option (around about £120 all in would be nice) that doesn't involve too many changes of trains, and no tight connections as they will have luggage (you know how much 'stuff' they always need...)

I have tried looking for Bargain Berths on the sleeper but have trouble getting anything to come up from that site. I'm also not sure when Advances are available from the various companies.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Pete
