After a trip to Taunton on Sunday 14th for the bus rally, the following moves where made:
10:52 Weston to Taunton formed of triple duds 153329 + 153377 + 150122
and on the way home 16:39 Taunton to Weston Non-stop on double powercar winners 43194 + 43041!

20/5/17 Severn Valley Railway Diesel Gala
I awoke at 06:30 with no proper plans of going anyway! I knew the gala was on so at 06:40 made the decision to head to over to Kidderminster for the diesel gala! I walked to Weston station and arrived at around 06:55. I picked up a return from here to Cheltenham Spa and a return from Cheltenham to Kidderminster ‘Via Birmingham’. I jumped aboard double duds 153368 + 153377 on the 07:08 service and alight 40 minutes later at Bristol. From here, I jump onboard dud 221132 for the ride to Birmingham which went smoothly as normal! A quick walk was made over to Moor Street before picking up winner 172343 as far as Stourbridge Junction and finally jumping onboard winner 172220 to required shack Kidderminster (NR)!
A quick walk was made to another required shack Kidderminster (SVR). I headed over to the ticket office and picked up a day ranger before I started photographing, I headed down to the Diesel Shed and took some photos before photographing the Clayton leave. Clearly there was some delay as this was due out ages it ago it was now 11:40 and 73965 had not arrived yet. After it departed, I headed down to the platforms and boarded winner 73965 on the delayed 11:40 service to Bewdley! The train ended up leaving Kidderminster 50 minutes late. The loco didn’t make a lot of noise, but I wasn’t expecting it to, to be fair! We arrive into my next new shack, Bewdley (SVR) around 20 minutes later, I head over to the bay platforms and awaiting the next train towards Bridgnorth.

This next train arrived 25 minutes later and I board double winners 20205 + 20189! The plan was to alight at Highley, but as the train arrives at Arley I spot 55022 awaiting to depart the other way, I make a quick dash across the bridge and board winner 55022 for the ride back to Bewdley! A quick tea is picked up in the café at Bewdley before boarding winner D8568 (Clayton) to winner shack Highley (SVR)! I headed over to the Museum at Highley and watched 33035 leave from the viewing platform, before heading back to the station, I paid £2 to travel in the brakevan behind Industrial shunter 319290 (which sounded great!) before heading back onto the station and boarding winner 47192 for the ride to winner shack Bridgnorth!

I watch the Clayton depart Bridgnorth before heading back onboard the stock I had just arrived on, the 47 shunts into the siding next to the station and soon the pair of 20’s in the sidings power up and couple onto the train! I quickly head up through the overhanging coaches and nab the front window for the ride behind now dud 20205 + 20189 all the way back to Kidderminster! And what a noise they made! Was well glad I stood at that window 25 minute before departure! Especially when the loco fully opened for the run through Bewdley Tunnel! The train arrives into Kidderminster at 17:35 and at around 18:00 I head back over to the national rail station!

At 18:22 winner 172212 + dud 172214 arrive to take me onwards to required shack Worcester Foregate Street! The train slows down just before Droitwich Spa which makes my 3+ at Worcester Foregate even tighter, but I pull it off with seconds to spare and board dud 166219 for the 2-minute leap to another winner shack, Worcester Shrub Hill. I watch 66421 pass on a Wentloog container train before boarding 19:06 service formed of reformed 150238 for the run down to Cheltenham Spa. At Cheltenham Spa I make a quick dash to the chip shop over the road and back the 19:52 towards Bristol with a minute to spare, I board winner 220034 for the ride back down to Temple Meads arriving at 20:42! I then head over to platform 15 for the final move of the day behind double duds 43017 + 43086 arriving back home at 21:26!

Excellent. That run through the tunnel was superb. I often see the guy that was driving the 20s at various galas and I've had a chat to him a couple of times. He seems to know how to play to the crowd shall we say? 
I must say I love the Severn Valley. There seems to be something interesting to look at wherever you are and some of the stations are real gems. Great report Dhass.

I was very glad to see drivers doing what the Glos-Warks are famous for, thrashing the living daylights out of their locos through the tunnel! Oh the racket 33108 made in it was jaw dropping! Mind you, so was the noise your video of the 20s produced Dhassell. Yes I did watch it last night.
I'm surprised 73965 didn't make much noise for you, 73964 on the Bluebell Railway last year was thoroughly enjoyable so I expected the same from 73965. Sounds like I missed nothing from not getting it on Friday!
People requiring shacks like Worcester Foregate Street seems so weird to me, as it is one of many shacks I use fairly frequently!

It's not really on the main route for me! To get to Birmingham it's alot easier to head straight via Cheltenham, and It's not often I need to get to Kidderminster either, I have never been towards the Malverns either so it was something that was needed for me! I thought the 3+ at Foregate would be worth it to get Shrub Hill as well!
I was sat in the bay of four right behind the loco and heard absolutely nothing! Saw a bit of smoke and that was it!

That 20 driver sure knew what he was doing! I had never been to the SVR before this saturday, and I have to say I loved it! A completely different feel to other heritage railways!

31/5/17 Heart Of Wessex Clear-out.
I awoke at 06:30 again, with the plan of catching the 07:25 service towards Bristol, I got washed and dressed and headed down the station at around 07:10, I headed to the ticket office desk, and picked up an Anytime return to Bristol and a Heart of Wessex Rover, It could have cost £15, but for the sake of £5 I decided to upgrade the anytime ticket for a First Class one! Overall the tickets totalled to £21.90! It was now 07:20, the train was being announced as First Class at the front, so I slowly wandered down the platform towards the very front. Time went by and the train still hadn’t arrived! It eventually arrived into Weston at 07:33 around 8 minutes late! I took a table of 4 right by the door and made sure to open the window a bit as no one else was around and I fancied a bit of MTU noise
. The train today was formed of set LA15, the green interior set with 43188 + 43187 doing their duties!
Quickly after, the train departs and I plug my half-charged phone in to the USB charging port and relax, It was only a 30 minute journey today. Completely uneventful for the whole journey, after Nailsea, I started to wonder if the trolley with drinks/snacks would come through, so I headed up to the counter and received a tea and a biscuit! Soon after a trolley goes past! Oh well, was offered something else, but I was fine at the current time! We soon arrive into Bristol, around 6 minutes late at 08:06 and as I leave the train I take another biscuit from the trolley (They were good :P) .

Due to the train being late, I had missed the Avonmouth train connection, so had to wait for the 08:36 service formed of dud 150916 to take me to new shack, Montpellier. From here, It was a 10 minute wait before dud 150925 arrives to take me the 10 minutes back into Temple Meads! A quick platform change puts me on board the 09:22 service formed of dud 158952 as far as Bath, 10 minutes later winner 43165 and dud 43078 roll in to take me onwards to my second new shack of the day, Chippenham! 15 minutes is spent here before joining the 10:14 service formed of winner 43025 and dud 43021 for the ride all the way back to Bath! I had a 5-minute connection at Bath, at one point I didn’t think I was going to make it, as for some reason there was a holdup on the stairs, I made it across the platforms with 2 minutes to spare and board dud 158951 for the ride to my third shack of the day, Bradford-On-Avon. It was a tight 1.5-minute connection here, but luckily my next train was slightly late, the 1050 rolls in around 3 minutes late with dud 153325 on the front but winner 150002 on the rear! At last, I had been searching for this for ages! Unluckily, for the next shack, I had to be in the front train only, so I couldn’t sit in 150002 this time!

About 5 minutes later, we arrive into my fourth new shack of the day! Freshford, I alight from the local door and the guard jokes to me that there isn’t really a lot there before he departs off and I head over to the other platform and await the next train towards Westbury! There was about a 15-minute wait before dud 150246 rolls in to take me all the way to Westbury! From Westbury, I boarded 153382 for the ride towards my fifth shack of the day, Melksham. I have 30 minutes at Melksham until the next train is due, so try my luck and start heading to the McDonalds 10 minutes up the road! By the time I get there and get my food the train is due in about 10 minutes! So, I start jogging back to the station and make it with only a minute to go! The road was a pain to cross! Constant traffic and trying to judge a gap was a pain, but I made it. I recorded extra dud 150246 for the ride to Chippenham!

From Chippenham, I boarded winner 43145 and dud 43124 for the ride back to Bath Spa. I then crossed over and boarded double duds 43086 + 43017 for the ride all the way back to Swindon! I quickly pop down to the bus station to see if any of the new Thamesdown Enviro 200’s where about, 1 was, before heading back to the station for a 45-minute wait and to watch a bit of freight. Firstly 165126 shoots through empty heading towards Reading, before 59001 passes by and then finally 37884 heads past light engine! I then head over to platform 4 to join the 15:16 service to Bristol Parkway, formed of double duds 43069 + 43172. The train arrives into Bristol Parkway 5 minute early making the connection onto the 15:53 service to Bath easy! To my shock, this service was formed (for the 3rd time today!) of 150246! This is the daily service from Bristol Parkway to Bath which avoids Bristol and uses the curve which avoids Bristol TM. I had it cleared on the direction from Bath to Bristol Parkway, but in this direction, it was still dud! We get stopped at a signal just before the mainline, about 2 minutes past before we continue, at a very reduced rate! I started to worry, as my connection at Keynsham was only a 3+. I soon find out the reason for the delay, I spot about 5 youths on an abandoned railway bridge next to Bristol East Depot! As soon as we clear them we continue 2 minutes late! We make up a minute and arrive into Keynsham 1 minute late. I make a quick move onto the other platform before joining dud 150916 for the ride back into Bristol TM.

Once at Temple Meads, I went over to the TVM’s and picked up a single ticket to Bristol Parkway, this was because earlier in the day, I had been tipped off that two of my last three XC power cars were paired together, and the gen was right! At 17:30 double winners 43366 + 43304 roll into take me onwards to Bristol Parkway! A quick connection here puts me back onboard 150246 again!! For the ride, back to Temple Meads! It was now time to head home, I boarded the 18:20 service formed of winner 43196 and dud 43192 for the ride back to Weston, First class of course! I once again got a table towards the very rear, and 10 minutes after departing the host came through and offered me something off the trolley! I took an apple juice and another biscuit and he headed back off to the buffet! I had the whole coach to myself all the way back to Weston where I alighted at 18:56!

A good day out there with some nice photos too, pity you couldn't go on 150002 though. Montpelier just sounds so exotic. I assume there's art galleries, street cafes, maybe some neogothic architecture, a certain chic charm in the street culture?

It was a good day!
Seriously? I never knew that. Mind you, when I last did a HoWR it didn't have even close to such amazing variety of routes. I still don't know why they felt the need to put Yate into it. Certainly it's metamorphed a bit from the old Bristol to Weymouth and nothing else that it used to be!

I tell a lie, it's valid on GWR and SWT only. I can understand it though, only Bristol TM to Bristol Parkway services would use GWR

I actually questioned LM on the FOSS and they told me that it was not valid! I'm not too sure about HoW on XC mind.

So, it was another 5:30am on another Saturday, I headed down to the station as normal and picked up my tickets for today’s trip to London. I was onboard the 06:24 as usual with 43165 + 43154 doing their duties as far as Reading. A quick 5-minute wait puts me onboard winner 166209 for the ride into Paddington. As we pass through Ealing, I notice one of my required Heathrow Connect 360’s working towards Paddington, so once at Paddington it’s a quick walk over to platform 14 for the 09:03 service formed of winner 360205 out to Ealing Broadway! A quick run across the footbridge puts me on board a delayed winner 165113 for the ride back into Paddington. I next head down to the Bakerloo Line platforms and join winner 3563 and dud 3260 for the ride to my first new shack of the day, Maida Vale. A 3-minute wait here is made before double winners 3556 + 3261 roll in to take me to my second new shack of the day, Queens Park. Another quick connect is made onto winner 378256 which just happened to be late running! Once at Willesden Junction, I alighted and made my way onto the high-level platforms, A few GBRF 92’s are Id’d before I board winner 378201 for the ride to my third new shack, Shepherd’s Bush (NR) and then Shepherd’s Bush (LU)! I walk downstairs and onto the first Central Line set that walked it, It was quadruple winners 92183 + 92008 + 92251 + 92440 as far as Bond Street before I pick up double Jubilee Line winners 96081 + 96082 to Green Park, before boarding winners 374 + 249 to my fifth new shack of the day, Knightsbridge. Unfortunately, my dad wasn’t to have a look around Harrods, so we spent a good 30 minutes in here to my disappointment, but won’t go into details about that!
About 30 minutes later and I’m free again! I firstly board double winners 238 + 189 as far as Holborn before joining 92221 + 92152 + 92xxx + 92xxx as far as Liverpool Street, I missed out on the front two set numbers as I got disorientated and ran the wrong way up the platform to try and get them! I arrive into London Liverpool Street and miss the 12:36 to Stratford by seconds! I spend the time waiting for the next train by purchasing a Costa drink and going to the toilet before joining the 12:50 service formed of double winners 321332 + 321326 to Stratford! Once at Stratford, I make a 2-minute connection onto the 13:00 service formed of winner 317505 for the ride to my sixth new shack of the day Tottenham Hale! I spend 20 minutes here watching units pass and collecting for sight before joining the Victoria Line and jumping onboard almost empty winners 11062 + 11061 to another new shack, Walthamstow Central. I make a quick jog to Walthamstow Queens Road before joining the 13:09 formed of winner 172005 all the way along the line to Barking! A quick drink is picked up before joining double winners 357045 + 357022 all the way up to Upminster!

Once at Romford, a 10-minute wait was made for the next train towards Stratford formed of double winners 321440 + 321357, Once back at Stratford a 2+ was made onto TFL rail winner 315857 and dud 315833 for the ride to a new shack, Manor Park, a 5-minute wait was made before double winners 315830 + 315820 roll in to take me back to Stratford, A quick run over to platform 10 then puts me onboard winner 90007 for the ride back into Liverpool Street. I walk down to the Sub-Surface platforms before joining winners 21087 + 21088 to Farringdon, before making a quick leap onboard winner 319435 to Blackfriars and then onboard dud 319445 to another new shack, Elephant and Castle. A 10-minute session was spent at Elly and Castle collecting units for sight before I join winner 319432 back to Farrington, before then jumping onboard double winners 21115 + 21116 to Great Portland Street and then double duds 21470 + 21469 as far as Paddington!

It was time to head home now, I boarded double duds 43198 + 43150 on the 18:30 home, A nonstop 125mph run was made all the way to Reading which does not normally happen! I knew that 67010 was booked on the Weymouth Wizard today so planned to get off this at Bath which I did, 10 minutes later winner 67010 rolls in on a stopping service towards Bristol, I jump onboard a Riviera Trains declassed first class Mk2 coach (Which was very comfy!) for the ride to Bristol! I then had a 20-minute wait and watched the 67’s shunting before winner 43152 and dud 43193 roll in to take me back to Weston arriving at 2126!

A good day out DH. The old git in me likes the blue and grey mk2s behind the 67 very much. I would have been tempted to go up to Bristol for a trip to Weymouth on that if I'd had the time but I didn't find out until quite late on unfortunately

They were very comfy!
I wish I had gone to Weymouth myself behind them! Where a couple of rather inmature "adults" onboard though. Pathfinder Crew were very friendly mind! Driver wasn't much cop at stopping the set at short platforms at Oldfield and Keynsham, very shaky stops They were very comfy!
I remember back around 1991 in summer there was a service from Paddington to Paignton that was 47/8 hauled and was entirely made up of those mk2s (FOs?). A very comfortable train (and they knew how to stop gently
).

I just listed all four numbers as the set rolled in, didn't put them in order, I don't really note the formations.

Wow that was a busy day! By the amount of winners you got it sounds like you need a LOT in London!
I had an almost equally excellent run out of Paddington the other week, it was far superior to the slow run I'd had the day before. Storming through Slough at top speed was most enjoyable, although I'm still undecided as to whether I prefer flying through MKC or Slough more.
Epic fail with the failure to note all the sets on the Central line, but you'll get better at it over time. Granted, last time I had a major session down there I had Kite assisting with the numbers, but I'm definitely adopting the method of just noting the 92 numbers to avoid any potential incorrect recordings. Which would make sense except I noted all the driving sets as 91xxx in my needs lists, oops!
