Hi All
Just some advice really from a relative newbie coming back into the hobby after 14 -15 years away.
Next week I plan to do a 8 out of 15 day Free of Severn and solent rover with a twist as per below
Start with days 1-3 general travelling around Bristol / Westbury / Cardiff heading down to Portsmouth
End day 3 travel Portsmouth - Brighton for B & B to lead on as below
Day 4 do a one day thameslink Daysave rover that covers Brighton - London and through to Bedford
www.railrover.org/pages/daysave-thameslink.html
End day 4 go back Portsmouth and to B & B
Day 5-6 (Will be days 4 & 5 of FOSS rover) head around Southern area and home
2 days rest
Days 7 & 8 to be decided but thinking around Eastleigh / Southampton area.
I live Exeter so a couple nights be back in Exeter (buy tickets Exeter - Tiverton) and sis in Yeovil so will be staying there a couple nights
Just a couple questions
Has anyone done a Dayside thameselink ticket as appears you can't buy at stations only in advance for Tourist Information Centres (generally).
Any tips on where to stay or avoid and general prices for B & B around Brighton ?
Anyone want to meet or join me for a day to keep me company ? (worth a try)
Regards
Mark
