Just passed Cardiff and saw a 56 in grey DCR livery and a class 50 in Blue any ideas what they were please.

didnt know DCR had any class 57's, know they have some class 56's. the blue class 50 was probably going to/from canton depot for work

Probably a typo, there's a grey 56 with DCR branding knocking about.

Anyone know the numbers- when are DCR starting services or have they already?

DCR do have their freight operators licence and have commenced some freight work, but they have yet to get their passenger licence.

if do get their passenger licence in the next few months i dont think they would start running passengers trains til at least may 2012
