Nah - 'tis just a Metro. Not quite sure where it came from or why I'm using it TBH! As for the coop - whatever Thinking about it, it probably wouldn't be that bad - small, cheap and probably economical. Dad used to have one, although he insisted it wasn't a Metro but a "Rover 114 Kensington SE" In other words a Metro with a few extra bits written on the back doing nothing but weighing the car down

That would be Knucklas Viaduct mate, near the site of the old castle hence the styling of the stonework.If you follow the treeline to the left You can see how much of a grade the line goes up (35-37mph flat out in a 153,40-45mph in a 150).The line actually climbs almost to the top of that range of hills before going through Llangnyllo tunnel for the last stretch.

Mbonwick , nice shot , an i ask what wireless card you are using ,as my wireless is playing up recently.

1, It's not my shot, off a quck search on google for 37 and 66

2, WiFi card is a NetGear WPN111 with a NetGear DG834PN router.
Max Lan speed = 100MB/s
Max WiFi speed = 108Mb/s, usually 54MB/s only 108 when high traffic.

Hoever, this kit is now slightly outdated. I would suggest a Netgear DG834N with a WN311B PCI card.

The pre-N technology works around 300MB/s, I am lead to believe

mbonwick, pre-N technology is unapproved by the International Standardisation Organisation and may not be upgradable to 802.11n technology, hence it is a bad idea to spend £100 on a router that supports it when it may be rendered useless in the future.

Yep, it is faster. But it will collapse to "g" speeds if your walls are too "bricky".

Have to wait for a firmware upgrade for my router ad:, then it should do 108MB/s all the time

For the typical user using their 802.11x connection to surf the net (most people who have such networks don't seem to use them for things like pooling printers or setting up fileshares etc), the bottleneck will be in the net connection - anyhow, whilst I do printing over the network and some file transfers the occasional nature of this means 802.11g is sufficient, until of course higher speed options become cheaper.

Tom B, your right, and contrary to most people I do use my WiFi for printer and file sharing and a small number of file transfers (then the router kicks into 108MB/s)
