Desiro Fire near Upwey

Hi all,

An SWT Desiro (presumably a 444) caught fire near Upwey this morning, I believe it was working 1W90 which is the 05:55 WEY-SOU. Just wondering if anyone knows anymore info, which unit it was or anything.

Believe the unit was 444 035

No way, that's my most travelled on 444, thanks ever so much, been wondering what one it was.

Was rather surprised to see 444035 paired with 444038 on 1P59 18:30 WAT-PMH yesterday, they must have fixed it really quickly.

Given the weather conditions it was probably the resistor banks ( like with 442 410 at Victoria a few days earlier ) therefore basically a quick swap of the affected components if there was no bodyshell damage?

They don't have resistors.

Possilbly the plastic cover on a repeating line breaker melting.
