Never done this before, but planning a trip either tomorrow or on Friday and would like some suggestions of good places to visit within the validity, but also which lines to use in terms of scenery etc. Also is there a site where I can get comprehensive information on the buses within Derbyshire? Any interesting places for bashing/'bus bashing'?

Will be getting into Chesterfield at 0831 and leaving at 1928 most likely.

Thanks, that's handy I'd overlooked that. Just have to be careful planning the bus part as I don't want to miss the last bus on some rural bus route that only runs 3 times a day... or is that just my worrying what with me coming from North Yorkshire? ;)

Also, a dumb question maybe but what if I were on a train back to Chesterfield that got delayed and caused me to miss my last train back home on a Derbyshire Wayfarer? I know I wouldn't get compensation but would they (the railway) have an obligation to not leave me stranded as they would with normal rail tickets?
