Very very good meet today with heart-of-wessex! We waited til about midday at Derby for Mintona, but he didn't turn up so we assumed he'd bailed out. BRailNetwork turned up but forgot his money so couldn't come
My trains today, good value at £5.35
Wessex 158: Nottingham-Chesterfield
XC 220: Chesterfield-Derby
EMT HST: Derby-Chesterfield
XC 220: Chesterfield-Sheffield
Northern 150/2: Sheffield-Grindleford
Northern 142: Grindleford-Sheffield
MML 222: Sheffield-Chesterfield
XC 220: Chesterfield-Derby
XC 170: Derby-Nottingham

Saw an Advenza 47 and the NR class 950 at Chesterfield, also saw 60068 wedged between 2x 66s. Plenty of HSTs, including 2 XC ones (NXEC valenta/MTU and MML valentas).
Many platforms blocked at derby, one was blocked by NR's toolbox van

hope to have videos soon

Soooo sorry guys. I was on till 0030 last night at work, set my alarm for 0700, but woke up with a banging headache. I went and got some Nurofen and water, gulped it down, sat down, put TV on to keep me awake, and the next thing I knew it was 10am and the TV was on (and my headache was still around).
So I crawled back into bed til about 1200 by which time I was feeling a tad better, but thought it was a bit late to be coming out.

So I am really sorry, but I hope you had a good day.
If it makes you feel any better, my headache has returned.

HAHA yes he thout you were the boy in the banner..oh well :P

Good day out, I had a trek on a 153/150 to Gloucester then a 170 (113) to Derby.

We waited for Alaistar and we missed out on the Matlock 158, but I said I'd be doing that line when the peak rail diesel gala is on, then we set out with the list as Miles reported.

I screamed galore when I saw 074 at Sheffield, which I dont think Miles understood what the hell I was jumping up and down for (basically I had 3 powercars left for sight, that bought it down to 2, and my last EMT one).

I also tried to uy a drink at the vending machine, but it only took money, it doesn't give you a drink GRRR.

I bought us a drink on the Voyager instead, much better :D

It was then home time for him and we both went on 170 105 and I took it to Long Eaton (and scored 56 311 in Derby RTC)

I took 222 011 back to Derby, saw a NR 37 but no number was visable :(
I then took a HST to Chesterfield, back to Derby, then another to Chesterfield for my voyager home, which was delayed slightly as some railtour with 47787 rolled in to drop off and went to Bedford, then 221 141 came to take me to Bristol TM (what a boring ride back!!!!!) then took the 2310 to Trowbridge formed of my pet 143, 611.

good day though, wasn't expecting much people what with it being announced only days beforehand

I'll be there next time if I say I will be...hopefully! Sounds like you had a good day, sorry about the Matlock branch though. That was the only bit I needed. It is like I am never actually going to do it.

As I missed this, I'm thinking of doing another one in the holiday, but maybe a little earlier, as I can't stay till 8pm. I'll try and get the XC HST in. I'll post more on this thread then I will propose one, once I get the go ahead.
