Hi all,

Does anyone happen to know if the tube stock will run tomorrow from Derby- Old Dalby?

Been wondering for a while - why do these trains go via Burton/Leicester instead of straight down through Loughborough? Track capacity due to limited speed or something like that?

It's an exceptional load - the conditions of travel notice does show details for the direct route, but it has a couple of severe restrictions, including being barred from the Up Slow between Sileby Jn and Syston North Jn (which really makes it an impossibility!).

Thanks Tomnick - I've been meaning to ask for a while as its a very long, slow route with a couple of reversals which wouldn't be first choice. I suppose if these trains follow the style of the ones they are replacing they are probably quite wide compared to mainline stock.
