Yep a total renewal which will take 2 weeks minimum.. Manpwer is not the issue but the main concerns are around the haulage required to undertake these works.
Many engineering trains will be required which is a logistical nightmare.

A few wheel timbers were heavily damaged ( especially Stracey Road ) along with S&C units. .. There is a lot of work but the full extent will be known tomorrow after a full scope.

Does anyone know why the remedial work is so extensive? was the track in bad condition before the derailment? do derailments usually cause this much damage?
