If you take medication that may impair your reaction times would invalidate you to go for a safety critical role. If you don't declare it and you get found out/or something happens then you could get into alot of trouble. Sorry

Thanks for the reply, I do take medication but it does not make me drowsy it's just more to control my medication so maybe won't be a problem.

It isn't just about being drowsy. There are other considerations when taking medication. The Occupational health will advise what you can and can't take.

Mate by all means please do declare everything to them. Lying about certain things on the railways, which are then found out later on, can result in instant dismissal, or even jail.

As for TFL, the OH team are very knowledgeable and helpful, there are plenty of drivers and other operational staff who take a variety of medications for various conditions. Be honest with them and just remember you're not alone with suffering depression, and the company will do it's best to help you and accommodate you.

the exact OH decision will depend on a number of factors, including but not limited to, what medication you currently take and the dose, past or current use of 'rescue' / 'PRN' medication, if you are under secondary care rather than just GP and/or CPN that sort of thing ...

failing to declare stuff to OH is never a good idea, and contrary to mess room / man down the pub gossip , managers do not get to see any part of the OH process, apart from the final report which in the case of pre-employment i s going to be one of four things

1. fit for role with no adaptations
2. fit for role , with no material adaptations , but may be covered by the equality act ( this may be where the OP fits in depending on their history)
3. fit for role with reasonable adaptations
4. not fit for role .
