Depots suitable for OTM servicing

Are there any vacant rail connected depots suitable for OTM servicing around the UK, ideally centrally located, which are currently out of use? Is Stafford depot currently occupied?..

If I remember correctly, Stratford depot was closed and demolished to make way for the Olympic Park (or at least something related to the Olympics). I believe there are disused depots elsewhere in the country but I'll let people who are more in the know about them reply.

What's "OTM servicing?

Is it " On The Move Servicing" where someone wanders around with an oil-can squirting oil in the moving parts as the train batters along the track? Nah, can't be since there would be no need for a depot.

EDIT: I may have the answer. Google took me to On Train Metering which doesn't fit with needing servicing, then I alighted on On-Track Machinery. Is that it?

plain line / switch & crossing units
tracklayers
cranes
ballast regulators
dynamic track stabilisers
tramms

to name a few..

Hmmm, well I work for NSC but decided asking on here would be easier! Plus there may be depots which are out of use which aren't NR owned.

Sorry, but that is proper scary if NSC are asking on a forum where they can stable and maintain trains and that is coming from somone who works for NR. Honestly, go and speak to a route freight manager! To be fair unless NSC have a fund to bring a depot back which is likely to be third party leased to a FOC you are on to a loser anyway.

Nothing scary about asking a question. I asked on here as generally there can be knowledgable people on forums, this wasn't a last resort for information and I'm not going to start spending lots of time chasing around in NSC or the property team. It's not actually even my job to find a facility, but having an interest in the success of the plant I would rather push people in the right direction rather than end up with something incorrectly specified by someone else!

Stafford depot is occupied. By a college training facility I think.

Ah, when he referred to Stafford Depot I thought he meant the LNW steam shed!

Doncaster Roberts Road & King's Norton used to work on OTM's.

Doncaster Roberts Road is now a loco and wagon depot and has been for a while, now Electromotive Diesel and services GBRF,s loco,s etc.

It was never a tamper depot, the tampers was at Marshgate Depot just over the River Don at the North end of Doncaster Station.
