Depot Open Days

Not sure if this is the right section for asking about depot open days (admin please advise) but does anyone know any forthcoming dates for open days.

It's been about 20 years since I last went to one. Do they still have them and where do I find out about them as they don't seem to be in Rail magazine in the occasional editions i buy nor can i find any trying to do online searches.

Any advice would be helpful. In particular I wouldn't mind a trip around Crewe Electric.

DRS seem to be the best. They hold yearly open days. This year's was at Carlisle and next year's will probably be at Crewe Gresty Bridge. Freightliner also seem to sometimes allow visits at Crewe Basford Hall, but I'm not sure they do open days.

If Crewe Electric is a DB Schenker location I wouldn't hold out much hope of an open day there.

Unfortunately, you've just missed one - the Siemens / South West Trains depot open day down in Northam (Southampton).

It's a shame there are so few open days these days. I remember back in the good old days in the 1970s and 1980s there were loads of depot and works open days to choose from each summer.
