What are the logistics required for transporting diesel with big mode operation or is there sufficient I the tanks to last a days operating cycle?

my worry is with the trains coming off and back on electric power, the diesels will suffer from thermal stresses as they heat up and cool down. Going from cold to full output suddenly will kill engines. Ir will they have electric oil pumps and heaters to keep the engines a bit warm, and keep the turbos lubricated.
We all know about 'binary driving'* on HST's causing big ranges in engine/coolant temperature and resulting in thermal stress cracking.
Diesels are good for situations where they bang out the same output hour after hour continuously.
