Near a bunch of sheds that aren't 66s.
I've noticed c2c today announced to passengers to 'change at Southend Central for Adventure Island, Southend Pier and the Sea Front' or something like that - first time I've heard it whilst travelling on c2c, don't know if it is a new thing or if it's just never played when I catch one of their trains. I imagine it's a way of luring GA passengers onto their trains as c2c prides themselves going on the sea front.

The use of the word 'delicious' (I'll be the judge of that, thanks, and my judgment might be damning) is similar to the price of something being 'only' something or other. Invariably, that price is so ludicrously high that a snort of derision cannot be suppressed (you know the sort of thing, a pint of beer for 'only' £6.50, and we might even allow you to perch on an uncomfortable bar stool next to the loo for that 'unbeatable' price.) God, what an old cynic I am.

The first-class* complimentary snack-boxes on weekends on Virgin Cross-Country back in the day certainly weren't delicious!

Rubbery ham, a "cheese food slice" and a French roll that could be considered an offensive weapon. Though at least they did something on weekends on XC back then, I guess.

*=I was on an advance, Preston to Taunton direct for about a tenner. Cheapest standard was £25 on the same train.
Actually you can now get complimentary sandwiches and paninis when travelling first with XC on weekends ;)

Hot meals on weekdays too. Free.
