Hello,

I am not sure if I am posting this in the right place, but I am seeking advice before I submit a delay repay request.

I boarded the 7:23 Thameslink service from Cambridge to City Thameslink, and was delayed by 29 mins. I purchased my ticket on Trainline at 6:36 am, and I have the email receipt showing this.

I was about to submit a delay repay request, but I have noticed on the eTicket it says I purchased the ticket at 7:36 am, which is after the train had departed. This information is not correct, but it is an offence to buy a ticket after boarding (which I did not do) and I am wondering if I can still get delay repay compensation without it seeming like I have committed a ticketing offence.

Thank you for any help I might get

Did you buy it just after the Daylight Savings changes? There is a bug in the Trainline app causing that. If so I wouldn't worry and would submit the claim as usual. If they question it send the email as evidence.

Did you have to scan the ticket to pass through the ticket barrier at Cambridge? If so, this will demonstrate that you used the ticket before the purchase time which isn't possible.
