Delay repay SWT

I have been delayed 5 times on SWT each time over an hour. I have written in to claim compensation but have been advised that as I hold a gold card season ticket I will get a discount next time, however I will be starting a new job and will now be driving , thus have no intention of renewing my annual season ticket, what do I do? Many thanks.

SWT sadly doesn't do Delay Repay, instead they use the old Passenger Charter scheme. http://www.southwesttrains.co.uk/compensation.aspx.

Which for monthly/annual season tickets is a bit rubbish.

You are not entitled to delay compensation on a journey-by-journey basis as the compensation arrangement for season ticket holders (one month or longer) is in the form of void days and renewal discounts, when average performance falls below a given threshold.

If you do not renew your season ticket, void days can be refunded in the form of cash.
