Hello
Quick question as I’m confused with the delay repay rules!
I travelled today from NCL-LEI via PBO.
I had an Advance ticket from NCL-PBO and another from PBO-LEI.
The train from NCL-PBO was delayed (by less than 30 mins but only just- 28!) but I missed my connection meaning I had to wait an hour for the next one and I arrived 66 mins late into Leicester.
Am I entitled to delay repay as I was so late in Leicester or am I not entitled because it was less than 30 mins late into PBO?
Thank you :)

It's the delay to your whole journey I.e. Newcastle to Leicester. Some train companies may say differently, however it is the delay to your whole journey, and if you were more than 30 minutes late into Leicester, claim. Just out of interest, which train companies did you travel with? This should make it easier to suggest whether you may need to fight. You'd want to claim from the train company that delayed you originally I.e. the one from Newcastle to Peterborough

Great, thanks. It was LNER from Newcastle to Peterborough and then XC from Peterborough to Leicester. Just checked up and it was actually 64 minutes for the final delay.

There have been a number of reports of LNER (who are essentially just a rebrand of VTEC) rejecting such multi-ticket delay compensation claims. However, where followed up appropriately, I believe virtually all cases have resulted in the appropriate compensation being paid eventually - and in some cases an additional amount to recognise their failings.
