Delay Repay on ranger/return combination

Yesterday I travelled from Leyland to Nottingham and return and was delayed on both legs of the journey. On the outbound leg I was unable to board the 1143 train from Manchester to Nottingham and the following train (1243) arrived into Nottingham 3 minutes late, meaning I was delayed by 63 minutes. On the return leg the 2023 from Man. Ox. Road to Leyland was cancelled and the 2049 (to Buckshaw Parkway) arrived at BSV 32 minutes late at 2157. I was proposing to claim for 60-119 minutes delay from EMT for the outward and 30-59 minutes delay from Northern for the return leg.

My question is how would Delay Repay be calculated from the tickets I held? What amount should I expect to receive?

Tickets held:
Leyland to Chorley CDR Child £1.70
GM Wayfarer Concession £6.00
Derbyshire Wayfarer Child £6.20
Ilkeston to Nottingham SDR Child £2.65

This seems like a rather complicated claim, with the added thing that I abandoned my journey at Buckshaw Parkway on the return leg; so I appreciate any input and advice on this.

When it comes to rovers & rangers there isn't a consistent approach applied across the board.

One estimate, treating the day ranger as a return ticket, would be:

(1.70/2)+(6.00/2)+(6.20/2)+(2.65/2) = 0.85+3.00+3.10+1.32 = 8.27 for the outward, and 8.27/2 for the return at 4.13. That would make a total of £12.40.

Different TOCs compensate for rangers differently so the above amount is not guaranteed.

I have however heard of day rangers being treated as comprising two return journeys, for the purposes of delay repay, in which case the total would be around £3 lower.
