I travelled from King's Cross to Malton on 27 May, depart KGX 11:00 arrive York 12:52 (LNER); depart York 13:04 arrive Malton 13:28 (TPE). Four advance singles, family railcard, bought from LNER.

The 13:04 TPE from York to Malton was cancelled, so we got the 14:03 which was two minutes late into Malton at 14:30, so a delay of 62 minutes.

I submitted a delay repay claim (well, four, once for each ticket) via LNER and they have forwarded onto TPE. Do I need to resubmit to TPE or will the forwarding count as a claim?

And will the refund be for the full amount, or will they only refund the York-Malton leg? The tickets were advance singles King's Cross to Malton, £46.35 each for two adults and £13.35 each for two children.

Thank you all for helpful advice - have used delay repay since the '90s in various forms but never for more than one operator! LNER have emailed me to confirm three of the four claims have been forwarded to TPE, so a phonemail may be in order. Just noticed the link above to tickets.railforums.co.uk so will try that for my next journey.

If you are ever unsure which operator to claim from, you can ask us! If we know the booked itinerary, details of what happened, and the actual timings of the journey made, we can advise accordingly. :)

Yep it's worth a try; for Monday 11 June for example we don't find any saving for the 1100 departure, but the 1200 is about £9 cheaper (£61.72 vs £70.30), but the real difference is in "Cheapest" mode, where we look for cheap deals on the stopping services (both via Leeds and York); this can bring the price down to around £34.
