Delay repay from trainsplit advice

On the attached journey the 13.13 to Millom from Lancaster on the 14 December was cancelled resulting in getting to Millom.after 4.30. As this is a split ticket but one journey, will I have a dispute with Northern about claiming from Euston as they will no doubt say the Lancaster train of applies. This is the first time I bought from trainsplit which is great!!
