It depends. Most operators that is fine. Claim both tickets in one transaction.
XC on the other hand make it as difficult as possible! I was on a delayed journey with the kids and they rejected the claim for four tickets saying they’d need to speak to all four of us to make sure. I emailed back to say youngest child was 5, I was Deaf, middle child was Deaf, so good luck phoning us.
They backed down in the end and paid out the £5.20 total to me!

Thanks. I've done my ticket already so can't claim together but I'll try doing hers now. It looks like I'm claiming twice but they should work it out by the different ticket number.

£5.20? I thought you were going to say £50.20 given XC's awkwardness.

Having tried to that with Greater Anglia and GN, and having one claim accepted and the other rejected as a duplicate, it caused more problems than doing two separate claims and that was with tickets bought using a Two Together Railcard! I always submit separate claims now

When I have 2 tickets with a two together card I always email my claim rather than use the form.

LNWR (I think) say it must be one claim per passenger but they paid up when I did them both together without any quibble. VTWC don't mind either way
