Delay Repay Claim Rejected - Information Required

Journey: Milton Keynes Central - London Euston Intended departure: 15:35

A friend travelled between Milton Keynes Central and London Euston on 19th June 2023 when there was significant disruption during the afternoon. The claim from West Midlands Railway has been rejected on the grounds that they cannot find any evidence of a delay of 15 minutes or more. Recent Train Times returns a message stating that the arrival time is unknown. Their intended train was the 15:35. Please could someone with access to a database of departure and arrival times please advise as to if the service was cancelled or arrived late/on time.

They're not "claiming" anything. They stated that this was their intended train. They boarded the next available train. I don't have the precise details to hand of the subsequent train they boarded.

There was a lot of disruption. On that afternoon I had a successful one hour delay claim re travel from Lichfield. But I am thinking that any travel from Milton Keynes might have only minimal delay. Simply catch a late running train

Maybe I used the wrong word, it is not intended to "cast aspersions". As I have successfully looked up the cancelled train I though it might help to look up the train actually used too. But I won't concern myself with that now.

They're claiming 15 minutes+. Going on the above information I think they boarded the 16:00 since that is the next available train which has a definite arrival time.

The scheduled 1535 was indeed cancelled, but as luck would have it, this train:

was running late itself, and ended up calling at MKC at...1535! They should have taken this train, which would have been valid for their ticket.

Original timetabled arrival time was 1617, actual arrival time was 1621, so the claim was refused as the delay calculated was four minutes.

I think it was power supply problems on the Northampton loop

Service was terminated at Rugby

Ticker acceptance was in place to use Avanti but only from Rugby to Milton Keynes. With the instruction to join the next West Midlands Train from Milton Keynes to London Euston
