Delay Repay Calculation Query

I submitted a delay repay claim to Cross Country a couple of weeks ago and today received a letter with voucher, however the voucher amount isn't quite as much as I was expecting (although admittedly the difference is minor) so I wondered if someone could confirm if my calculations are correct?

My journey was from Birmingham New Street to Leeds, and I held an off peak return with railcard Birmingham New Street to Derby priced at £10.30 and another return Derby to Leeds priced £20.55. I sent a scan of both these tickets with my claim.

The train was delayed before Derby and I jotted down the times as

Depart Birmingham 16:03

Due Derby 16:41, arrived 17:31
Due Leeds 18:06 arrived 18:51

I make it that it qualifies for a 25% refund on both tickets which is £7.71.

Cross country have sent a letter apologising for a 49 minute delay on my journey between Birmingham New Street and Leeds, and have sent a voucher for £5.14. It looks to me like they have only refunded for the Derby to Birmingham ticket. Given the train was delayed before Derby, am I right in thinking I should have recieved 25% of the entire amount?

(Incidentally if the train had only been delayed post Derby I assume that due to my split ticketing I would only have been entitled to a refund on the second ticket)

Many Thanks!

You may use more than one ticket for one journey. What is your journey? (This is only a rhetorical question.)

If your journey is delayed by more than 30 minutes, then you are entitled to compensation calculated according to the fares you paid for your journey.

If you believe that they have calculated your compensation incorrectly, write back and request a recalculation. I have declined compensation offers from CrossCountry before and they promptly apologised and made up for the shortfall.
