Hi all,

Full itinerary-

Travelled from Ulverston to fleet on Tuesday using the following tickets
Advance single - Ulverston to Lancaster
Off peak return Lancaster to Woking
Day return Woking to fleet

I travelled back on the Tuesday with a break of journey at Sandwell and dudley.

I returned from sandwell and Dudley today using the off peak return and a off peak single from Lancaster to Ulverston

I boarded the 17:17 service hoping to go to Lancaster aiming to arrive in Ulverston at 19:55

The train terminated at Preston meaning I am not going to arrive at Ulverston until 20:30

What am i entitled to claim for? How do i do it?

Thanks as always

If you are not already registered, you will have to set up an account with Avanti's Delay Repay web site, which is separate from their ticket selling site. I have recently claimed successfully from them.

They ask you to enter the journey you intended to make. 17.17 Sandwell & Dudley 19.07 Lancaster followed by 19.13 Lancaster to Ulverston 19.55
You have to answer "did you use more than 1 ticket for the journey?", to which the answer is YES. Then you upload the tickets involved. In your case the return part of the Lancaster to Woking ticket and the off peak single Lancaster to Ulverston. You state how much you paid for each ticket. Different upload method depending on type of ticket.
They should then work out what length of delay you experienced, and how much to reimburse you.
Play it straight and see what happens. They may have to revert to you for an explanation of why you travelled from S&D with a ticket from Woking.
They paid my claims very promptly, 100% for both outward and return parts of Southport to Sidcup! For two people.
