I had purchased a paper day travel card costing £18.60 and was awarded a payment of £4.70 for a 30-59 minute delay between blackfriars and ravensbourne. What is the basis of this award as i dont understand how it relates to the £18.60 ticket i used
30-59 minutes you're entitled to at least 50% of the single fare paid, or if you bought a return ticket at least 50% of the fare paid for the affected portion

As that's a zone 1-6 anytime travelcard, I have to ask why on earth weren't you using Oyster/contactless? If you went all the way to zone 6 you'd have capped at £12.80, but if Ravensbourne (4) was the furthest out you went it would have been a maximum of £10.10. You can still claim delay repay with Oyster/contactless.
