I travelled from Durrington to Bath Spa on 18th July at 1531 with a Durrington to Bath Spa Advance single, on Southern trains to Southampton then GWR to Bath. The GWR arrival at Bath was approx 50 mins late.
I have submitted a Delay Repay claim to GWR which was rejected as they said "another operator" was responsible and they referred me to Southern/Thameslink who contacted me and invited me to claim, which they rejected as the delay was caused by another operator!
I resubmitted to GWR clarifying that they delayed train was clearly theirs, but the rejected again and referred me to Southern, who have now rejected the claim again.
How can I proceed from here please?
Both operators have appeals mechanisms but they look cumbersome and I have no confidence in them.
I don't understand why GWR reject the claim, the delayed train was theirs, it was definitely late, and they are not disputing the delay itself.
