Delay Refund - TFL

I travel from East Croydon to Watford Junction and have purchased a zone 1-9 +Watford junction on my oyster card. If I am delayed on the underground, is it just the underground part of the journey that they have to refund or the complete journey?

I think the LU scheme only applies to the Underground itself, but someone else may be able to confirm.

Have you considered the direct train between East Croydon and Watford Junction? You only need zones 2-9+W for that. If you need to go via zone 1 occasionally you'll be charged £2.30 each time from your PAYG balance.
