Delay from London Underground

On Sunday I traveled from Sheffield to Catford with a through ticket that allowed travel on the underground to connect at Victoria for a Thameslink service.
King’s Cross underground was closed when I arrived due to big crowds from the Arsenal parade, unsure what to do I walked to Blackfriars (not easy with luggage!) to get a train from there.

Do I have any claim for delay repay or would I be deemed to have abandoned my journey?

Apply here. There is no delay repay, only a service delay refund which will give you the equivalent single Tube fare back but will not consider the full journey, only the part made by Underground.

There weren't any trains running from Blackfriars on Sunday, were there? What did you do when you got to Blackfriars?
