Delay at Reading

20.40 Im stuck on the London - Plymouth train at Reading. TG says fatality ahead delay unknown.
Can anyone give me an update if possible ?

1G29 1928 London Paddington to Worcester Shrub Hill appears to be stopped at Steventon for the last 50 minutes Trains otherwise at platforms (eg Swindon / Didcot)

1C32 20:01 Paddington-Plymouth currently in platform 8 at Reading.
What is your destination?
I may be telling you the obvious but you may be diverted via Newbury and then either Bath or direct to Taunton.

Thanks everyone, I have jumped ship and got on the stopper to Didcot my destination. Never seen so many trains stood at Reading !

1C33 to Weston being sent via Newbury at 22:00; 1C32 still sat in Reading (1C33 is 9-car). 1C98 to Plymouth also went - as booked - via Westbury / reverse so may make extra calls at Bath/Bristol. Anyway, for Didcot getting off at Reading was clearly the right thing to do.

As pointed out (briefly), B&H closure beyond Frome hasn’t helped.

It looks like 1C32 finally left Reading at 22:23 and went via Didcot, arriving 22:35, just under two hours late, and made it to Bristol for 23:33 and Plymouth for 01:50. 1C98 was booked via Westbury (reverse) and through Bath and Bristol and arrived into Plymouth at 01:31, some 25 minute late. 1C33 was sent via Newbury at 22:01 and reached Bath at 23:09, Bristol at 23:22 where it was terminated (booked to continue to Weston-super-Mare but presumably passengers were put on to 1C32 which was by then only ten minutes behind it). So presumably the line was reopened or known to be shortly reopening between 22:00 and 22:20.

EDIT 1C32 didn't go via Weston-super-Mare.
