Does anyone here have any more detail on this closure than that which is already posted on National Rail?

Specifically does anyone know if the Night Riviera will run to Penzance on Thursday 8th Dec (arriving Friday 9th?).

Keen to know as if it's not running I may have to re-organise a holiday!

NRE seem to know, as the link quoted says:

Monday to Wednesday: The 23:45 London Paddington to Penzance "Night Riviera" Sleepers will terminate at Plymouth.

Admittedly, the paragraph for the Up service is garbage, but from all the information provided it seems that Friday morning sees a fairly normal service.

I would suspect that the Down sleeper on Sunday night 4th will be affected.

Thanks, yes I saw that, but I thought I was maybe being over-optimistic in thinking that meant the Thursday night one was unaffected! The GWR site says it will be affected (when you attempt to book tickets, they're not on sale yet), but then just refers you to the above NRE page. So...not clear yet.
