Dave, I amost did. I was about to leave when the lady in the ticket office came out and said it was passing through Horley (a few stations up the line). So I decided to stay.

Orignally a Refurbished 442 + 73202 was due through before Tangmere, but that failed in the Balham area, just up the line from where Tangmere hit something in the Norbury area, making it run 1 hour late.

Thanks anyway mate :smile:

It was <(

The problem with the 442 was that it could only reach 20mph. After Tangmere and the local services that had built up behind it had cleared, it ran to Selhurst and then ended up running down to Brighton later in the day with the ED on the front.

Thanks James :smile:

Apparently a water pipe on Tangmere hit a conducter rail at Norbury, resulting in the loco being examined and therefore making it late. However I can't really see how that could happen, so maybe it was some debris on the line.

Oh right glad tangmere is ok though :D I thought she was late due to some some crappy unit that got in her way and hitting something .anyway she out again Tuesday at waterloo.

Excellent shots Craig!

Thanks :)

After having a few problems with my computer, I have just updated my site with many photos taken over the past week. Firstly, I have updated my December 2008 collection with photos of;

67006/005 on the VSOE at Lenham [17/12]
37218/038 at Dungeness [17/12]
73208/206 at St Leonards Depot [18/12]
Hastings DEMU 1001 at W. St Leonards [18/12]
34067 Tangmere at Chart Leacon and Folkestone West [22/12]

http://craigrailpics.fotopic.net/c1619839_21.html

Secondly, I have also updated my site with photos of Pathfinder's 'The Great Eastern Western' Railtour, featuring D1015 Western Champion on 20/12/08

Photos @ http://craigrailpics.fotopic.net/c1628935.html

And finally, I have created a new collection with photos of Hastings DEMU 1001 on 21/12/08, which ran from Hastings to Folkestone Harbour and return, working it's first public railtour for over 3 years! Great day out and ta ekr123 for the many laughs on the return working!

Photos @ http://craigrailpics.fotopic.net/c1628947.html

Videos of D1015, 1001 and 34067 will follow in the next few weeks. Sadly continuing computer problems is preventing me from editing the many clips.

Comments Most Welcome, and Happy Christmas to everyone on the forum :)

Visited the Sittingbourne & Kemsley Light Railway today, to ride on and photograph what could be the very last trains to run over the 2 mile long line, forever. I have updated my fotopic site with a few shots of Bagnall 0-6-2T Triumph, which handled all services today, as well as a video on my youtube channel.

As most/all of you know, the Sittingbourne & Kemsley Light Railway are fighting to save the line, locos and rolling stock. Closure of the line could see locos scrapped as well over 100 years of history lost. For more details visit http://sklr.net/

I have also added video of D1015, when it went to Great Yarmouth and Norwich on 20/12, Hastings DEMU 1001, when it went to Folkestone Harbour on 21/12 and 34067 Tangmere, when it did a Steam Dreams Circular tour around Kent on 22/12. Links below;
