I understand that it is 60013 that is in the middle of the next rebuild. Unconfirmed tho.

David Fletcher said on his first Linkedin message "started the overhaul of our 7th Class 60", as far as I'm aware 60099 was the 5th and 60013 the 6th so I took that, wrongly on my part, to mean another one at Loughborough as the 7th

He's now added another message in response to a query by simply putting "Ingleborough" which was the name of 60022, the hulk that was transported to Rectory Junction a month or so ago after reportedly donating parts to 60013, it's currently stripped out and off its bogies presumably to be returned to Loughborough later

Seriously though, for some reason I couldn't access Linkedin properly so missed the fact that 60022 had been stripped right out for rebuild while the previous Loughborough to Rectory Junction transfers, 057 & 075, are both stripped but stored outside still on their wheelsets awaiting disposal

I think they do perform well, there have been failures of course but any problems have been magnified by the fact it's such a small fleet, David Fletcher did say some months ago that the four locos together had exceeded 400,000 miles during 2024 delivering 1% of UK freight so the odd failure is only to be expected

There is actually an incline here - a steady uphill section climbing out of Denmark Hill station - how hard any locos have to work depends on whether they get a run at it. For this reason I am often hoping they get a signal check just east of Denmark Hill to wait for a passenger train which is what happened this morning with fairly satisfying results as far as the 56s are concerned - here on the Cliffe to Chessington run:
