At around 14:10 today I saw in Exeter Riverside Yard two DBS 66s with one VGA van and (I presume several, because I could only see one) hoppers marked with "Imerys", so I presume the train I saw was a china clay train. I'd be interested to know where that train was going to go, and whether it's normally double headed.

I've also seen a few tanker wagons parked in the same yard - anyone know whether they're actually used?

The train you saw was the Saturday-only 6M60 Exeter to Bescot clayliner,
booked to depart at 02:10, but I understand that the original loco (66117)
had failed, so the train eventually departed 14 hours late and was diverted
to Didcot!
