DBS Class 66 WIPAC replacement

Basically in this shot if you look at the WIPAC on the right it is yellow rather than black.I didn't actually notice this till editing the shot and well it might not be news to anyone out there but might be for some.

Well how do you know this is a replacement? I could just be a temporary replacement because the original one is damaged. If it was a replacement, then why does it only have one?

Well I'll pose you this question ............ How the hell am I supposed to know what do I look like a Toton fitter ? (All in good sport btw)
But yeah fair enough might not be replacements anyway I have no real idea so everybody can guess the night away.

It's probably just down to spares availability. It's possible that the loco in question clobbered something and required a new cluster, but all that could be supplied was a yellow one.

Then again, our Cl317/6's have yellow clusters. When they get a bit worn you can see that they are black underneath but have just been painted yellow over the top.
