DB Koln to Bonn. early services ICE?

I recently got the DB Railnavigator app on my phone, and while looking at timetable for Koln to Bonn. I noticed early morning and late evening IC trains are replaced with ICE trains.

What is the reason for this? Capacity? Getting stock in place?

Any information would be appreciated.

ICE trains between Cologne and Bonn are either Berlin-Bonn or Dortmund-Vienna, the first are ICE2s and the latter are ICE-Ts. Only ICE-3s run on the high speed line through Siegburg/Bonn, anything that runs via Bonn Hbf is generally an ICE-T or ICE1/2

So the ones marked ICE are ICE2 and the ones marked IC are infact ICE-T? Any idea why the early and late services are ICE2?

I expect that no ICs start/end at Bonn so anything late would be a terminating ICE from Berlin, and the really early ones would be through train to Vienna because the journey time is so long. Quite a lot of ICs aren't that long distance and Cologne-Bonn-Frankfurt is over 2 hours
