This has amazed me. I went looking for a full German rail timetable, maybe something like the old National timetable. What I found has genuinely shocked me...
DB Database
It is basically the full train database, not only for DB but for all of mainland Europe, extending east at least out to Russia, Ukraine and covers services in Ireland.
Pick two stations anywhere in Europe and it will find you the full journey, even if it includes ferries, the tube, walking, anything. For many trains on the mainland it will give you the train number and even platform allocations! Deciding to give it a test I challenged it to find me a train from Cochem to Berney Arms. It succeed, not only did it know the train from Liverpool Street to Norwich had a buffet but that Berney Arms was a request stop.
If only National Rail could produce something like this available to the public!
Bravo DB
