DB Freight

I have seen DB Freight are advertising for Qualified Drivers at various locations nationwide. In particular i am looking at the Tyne and Wear location.

Firstly i assume that will be Tyne Yard based and secondly has anyone any information on routes drivers possibly sign, shift pattern and how risky could a move to freight possibly be.

Flex weeks in the roster. 4 time bands A to D, split into 6 hours, starting midnight to 6am. There's Tyne Yard and Tees, but I think they've been merged. Historically, has been a very risky depot work wise.

Roster comes out in a Friday for the following week.

As John says, no free travel, new joiners not allowed in RPS.

Unless you're in last chance saloon, I'd think very careful about the move.

Apologies to the delay in your replies. I am happy with my current TOC in question. I dont know much about FOCs sp i guess information is good to have. On looking at the information, staying with a TOC or remaining on the TOC side seems to be a better option. For me anyway. Thanks again

Out of interest though, DB out of Tyne Yard - do they only sign a specific route, ie mainline or because its freight they are required to sign a varied of routes for diversion and clientele purposes.
