DB fares around Peenemunde

Hi guys, I'm planning a trip soon to see some of the WW2 stuff around Peenemunde, but I'm having trouble finding the fares for local services online.

I've tried the DB site but it just sends you to an international booking which is unable to show the fares.

I'm looking for Wolgast-Peenemunde-Swinoujscie.


Even if they can't be purchased online it would be nice to know the cost before I go.

How soon? Before the end of August then the €9/month German ticket will be the best option.

The DB site is not necessarily able to sell tickets for journeys involving only local trains, since the fares are set and collected by the local transport authority. They can only do it if they have an agreement to sell the tickets for that particular area(this complexity is one of the reasons the €9 was so popular!).

As it happens, these holder of the public service contract to operate these trains is Usedomer Bäderbahn, which is actually a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn, so it's a little surprising they wouldn't have an agreement setup, but there you go.

That's rather misleading advertising in my opinion. It's €22 for one person, then €3 per extra person.

It is in a way except that's how the majority of local ticketing around the whole of Germany works so it's quite expected.

Thanks guys, I had a look at the local website before but I must have missed the fares completely.

Looks like it's probably worth getting a day ticket. It's part of a trip with an interail ticket but it seems a waste to use a travel day on it.

Untill 31/8-no-brainer: this 9€ ticket.
The M-V (nickname MacPommes in german) ticket is only from 9.00 mo-fr. The 6,80 is the 5-persons variety p.p.
When checking the site of ubb I found there is also a dayticket for 21€, ALL day, also the local buses, on the whole island of Rügen.
Fairly often in holiday-areas in DE local HTLs etc may offer special cheap tickets or even free passes for those who stay there, but I do not know if this also applies here. A quick google will yeald results for that.
Btw: the very last leg just over the border is apparently free, this due to Polish requirements on transport fares. This also applies to f.e. the recently re-instated train over the Odra bridge Gubin-Guben (weekends only for now) and Görlitz-Zgorzelec.
