Totally agree with you there. I will reserve my memories for happier days when the DB locos substituted for their Virgin sisters coming into Lime Street.

I remember when they were fresh out of the box, mixing it up with Roarers in and out of New Street.

Nothing is permanent.

Indeed. I don't really get the fascination with seeing these locos lined up waiting to be scrapped - anyone who wanted to could have seen them rotting away at CE in the last decade or two.
