And I have one that looks different to that, with SN DAYSAVE 1 at the top instead of an "Issued to" field - in enlarged type like a "Travelcard" heading

Its amazing that there are so many different formats and types of ticket stock just for one ticket!

With the Thameslink Daysave it is still very unclear if it is valid on the "Great Northern" branded trains.

It says this on the National Rail website.

"See the places you can travel to and from on the route map using a DaySave ticket."

And when you click on "route map" it shows a route map of both Thameslink and Great Northern services.

Does anyone know what the official rules are regarding using these tickets on "Great Northern" branded trains?

I`ve used most of the rover tickets in the UK, day, 3 day ALR and Souther Region rovers back in the day, the Southern Daysave is one I`d like to use but isnt it one of those book in advance tickets like the Thameslink day ranger?

I find that most Ticket Offices and Guards will normally be happy to sell you a Southern Daysave ticket on the day.

But the Thameslink Daysave is however much more difficult to get hold of.
