I'm off college on Friday and if nothing else comes up, I might build up my mileage.

I had an unused Reading Stns - Liverpool S Prky (route: +London) ticket which I want to use to get back.

Any ideas on where to go? As far as I can but for as little money as possible?

Buy in advance, walk up, I don't mind!

A London-Midland super-off-peak return or Advance to Milton Keynes Central, and a Southern Downlander (too late for a Daysave).
For less than £25 that will get you down to Eastbourne / Brighton / Chichester etc. probably just in time to come home again! (at least you can get a fast train home)
