Dawlish sea wall

Hi everyone,
This is a first time post.
Is there a way of finding out the times that railtours will pass through Dawlish ?
Can it be calculated say from a previous stopping station. e.g. Taunton or Plymouth.

Of course, just use a public timetable! You just need to find a train that stops at, say, Newton Abbot then Dawlish, and see how long it takes. Then if you've got the railtour timing for Newton Abbot you can easily work it out.

If it's steam there may be timings on http://www.uksteam.info/tours/index.htm, or if it's diesel it may be listed on www.railtourinfo.co.uk. Then check the operator's site as they sometimes publish full timings.

The only timings I've seen published for Dawlish Warren are the Torbay Express, which is run weekly in the summer. It was the "one offs" and diesels that I am hoping to see along this bit of track, or even freight, but you've given me some useful information to work with.

If you can get hold of WTT times then Dawlish and Dawlish Warren will be both on them as they are mandatory timing points. The normal sectional running times for the charters is 9-11 minutes as said above though.

Please excuse a daft question but, I have looked at a timetable for a GW train from Paddington to Penzance and calculated the time it takes to reach Dawlish. However most rail tours only stop at a couple of stations, so would they cover the distance quicker or is their speed adjusted to give the same timings as the GW train.
As you can tell I know very little.

HSTs dont stop between Exeter and Newton Abbot (with the odd exception), so the timings are very similar.
