So you are stating that every person on that site was employed by network rail are you?
There were a lot of blue hats on site, did NR have a massive recruitment drive down there?
Why did I hear about Amco wrecking all the TPWS aerials, axle counters etc by running over them with their heavy machinery etc instead of removing them first, or are you saying my (S&T) source is wrong?
Only one axle counter was damaged by the storm, all the other stuff was wrecked by Amco etc. Or are you saying Network Rail staff did all the damage?
Do you know which company are making the new Axle counters?
Siemens, but the axle counters will give all the fault messages in German so all the staff have had to learn about 25 words of german so they can understand the codes presented to them.
Instead of going all high and mighty you might actually read my post. The inference from many posters is AMCO carried out the works which is further supported by the next post below yours.
So I'll spell it out so you'll perhaps understand:
Principal Contractor : Bam Nuttall
Other main Contractors :
AMCO
SISK
Dyer and Butler
Network Rail Maintenance
Amey Colas
Numerous other sub contractors, fire brigade, Imerys, security company
I've never implied there were no other contractors on that site, particularly with all the site signs advertising that fact it would be very stupid to do so
My gripe was the implication by some posters on here that there wasn't much input by network rail locally.
I'm quite aware who damaged most of the s&t equipment, having been on site every weekday since Feb 4th I think I'm qualified to say that.
Additionally the whole project was very ably Project Managed by the network rail IP civils team
One other point, the presence of blue hats also refers to new entrants for network rail staff and their labour suppliers as well as non PTS civils companies !
