Went to a launch of the ambitious plans for Darlington Bank Top station on Thursday (9th March). All very exciting stuff. Chap from Network Rail told me 140mph plans for running on the ECML north of the HS2 link were serious, but unable to explain how this might work for mixed traffic on two track stretches.
