And as far as I know, none the languages spoken by travellers (and that is not a pejorative, nor should it be used as such) is gibberish. Either Angloromani, Cant or Gammon would be most likely.
However the 2011 UK Census afforded Romanichals and Irish Travellers the status of being distinct ethnic groups.

If you look to the history of the Roma people and the development of the base of their languages, it must be remembered that the Roma were from the northern plains of India originally and as such, their language base has its origins in the sub-section of the Indo-European languages that includes both Bengali and Hindi.

As they spead outwards from Asia Minor, they first added words to their language that came from Greek, Persian and Amenian as these languages were the main ones in that first area of settlement.

As the move from that region in both western and northern areas over the last millenium, words from those regions have been again added from languages spoken in Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Romania, Slovakia plus specialised words from the Serbo-Croat and Hungarian parts of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

Best tell Channel 4 that, and all the travellers they filmed having their weddings.

And see the interviews (away from Channel 4) with many from "My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding" who were not happy with the name given to the programme, the way it was edited and the voiceover.
